Job Description
ABNA is seeking an Electrical Engineer, PE for our Midtown St. Louis, MO location. This position requires a self-motivated individual to assist with design and development of lighting, power distribution, communication, instrumentation and controls projects. ABNA is a multi-disciplinary M/W/DBE firm experiencing growing opportunities for electrical engineering and building services design capabilities for governmental, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional facilities.
- Design power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems.
- Create and review electrical equipment specifications.
- Prepare estimates of probable construction costs.
- Perform electrical engineering studies and calculations.
- Develop schematic drawings, wiring diagrams. MCC single line diagrams, control panel layouts, lighting & power plan drawings.
- Review Shop drawings and vendor documentation.
- Clearly communicate concepts and ideas with clients and construction personnel.
- Read and interpret P&IDs and General Arrangement Drawings.
- Develop proposals and project hour estimates.
- Assist with sales calls and interviews for projects.
- Meet with clients and vendors.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and designers.
Experience Level
Education Required
Required Experience
• 5-10 years of electrical design experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge of a CAD platform either MicroStation and or AutoCAD is necessary.
• Knowledge of a second CAD platform, Revit, and AGi32 is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of the NEC, NFPA, and IESNA standards.
